How can I know whether my reservation is confirmed?

You will receive an acknowledgement email once the payment process is completed. Your application will then be reviewed, and you will further receive a confirmation email with a QR code and service procedures if the application is successful.

What should I do if my itinerary or passenger details, is changed before coming to Hong Kong?

Once the reservation is confirmed, it cannot be amended. If there is any change in your itinerary or passenger details, you should apply for a cancellation of the original reservation and submit a new one. For more details, please refer to the Terms and Conditions.

Is there any limitation on the number of traveller(s) in a single reservation?

You may include up to 10 travellers in a single reservation. Please submit a separate reservation if you have more than 10 travellers.

Is walk-in reservation available for the service?

Reservation of the service is only available at least 48 hours before scheduled departure time of your onward flight from Hong Kong. No walk-in reservation is available.

What should I do if my originating flight to Hong Kong was delayed or cancelled?

If you cannot arrive at our HKIA Connects Counter at least 150 minutes before the scheduled departure time of your onward flight from Hong Kong, we are unable to provide the service due to insufficient connecting time. You may apply for a refund. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions.

What should I do if I require wheelchair service?

Wheelchair service can be arranged through your airline or passenger handling agent. For paid wheelchair service at HKIA, please contact ALLWAYS 24-hour hotline at +852 2275 0000.

How can I refund Air Passenger Departure Tax (APDT)?

The refund application will be processed by the Civil Aviation Department of the HKSAR Government, and a crossed cheque in Hong Kong Dollars will be made payable to you.

What should I do if I miss my onward flight at HKIA?

If you miss your onward flight after obtaining your boarding pass and luggage tag from our HKIA Connects counter, please approach your airline’s services desks located at Departures Level L7.

Do I need to apply for entry visa to Hong Kong if I use the HKIA Connects service?

Yes, you MUST possess a valid travelling document and visa to Hong Kong even you have reserved the HKIA Connects service. In some special circumstances, you may need to go through Hong Kong immigration and clearance procedures.

Is there any limitation on the quantity and weight of my checked baggage?

Limitations vary in accordance with airlines’ policy. Please check with your airline for more details.

What should I do if I lost the luggage tag of my originating flight?

According to the requirements of the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department, the luggage tag of your originating flight must be presented for our staff to transfer your baggage. If you have lost your luggage tag, we are unable to provide the service and you would need to go through immigration procedures, retrieve your baggage and check-in your onward flight at the landside check-in counter.

What if my baggage is lost or damaged during the originating flight?

You will be informed by our staff if your baggage is lost or damaged. You are then not eligible to use the HKIA Connects service.

If you are not eligible to use the HKIA Connect service, you may follow up on your baggage as below:
1. Approach the Transfer Desks/ Airline Service Desks of your originating airline for assistance; or
2. Proceed to the baggage reclaim hall after completing the immigration procedure and identify your baggage or negotiate with your originating airline or its passenger handling agent.

Can I get a refund if I cancel the reservation?

You can get a full refund if your reservation is cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time of your onward flight from Hong Kong. For more details, please refer to the Terms and Conditions.
