HKIA Connects is a service providing hassle-free travel experience for transfer passengers at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). Passengers whose connecting airline has no check-in service available in the restricted area can complete their onward flight and baggage check-in procedures at the restricted area without passing through immigration and customs.

Who can use the service

• Transfer passengers taking onward flights operated by our partner airline¹
• At least 150 minutes connection time between the arrival of the originating flight and the departure of the onward flight

Eligible passengers should make reservation at least 48 hours prior to departure time of your onward flight from HKIA

How to use HKIA Connects

After making reservation online, follow the following steps when you arrive at HKIA:

• Step 1: Proceed to our HKIA Connects counters at Transfer Desk E1-25 and 26 on the Arrivals Level (L5) at least 150 minutes² before the scheduled departure time of your onward flight from Hong Kong (Subject to the agreement with partner airline¹, passenger may be directed to their transfer counter for check-in).
• Step 2: Present your travel documents, baggage tag receipts, as well as other required documents³
• Step 3: Wait while we transfer your checked baggage from the originating flight to the onward flight. You will also receive the boarding pass and baggage tags for your onward flight
• Step 4: Proceed to the Departures Level after security check

Service Fee

Passenger with checked baggage:	HK$260 per person (Max. 2 pieces of baggage) (Air Passenger Departure Tax could be refunded by Civil Aviation Department upon application by passenger*)
Passenger without checked baggage:	HK$160 per person (Air Passenger Departure Tax could be refunded by Civil Aviation Department upon application by passenger*)

*For refund of the Air Passenger Departure Tax, you may submit applications via an online platform within 28 calendar days from the date of your departure flight from HKIA. For details, please refer to the Air Passenger Departure Tax website.
